Comprehensive Curriculum

The comprehensive STTP program covers:

Mat, Universal Reformer, Cadillac, Low Chair, Barrels and Small Pilates Apparatus -- all from the Basic to Intermediate levels.

Students will come away with a knowledge not only of the Pilates exercises on all apparatus, but with a wealth of understanding of:

Pilates History, Teaching Philosophy, Basic Kinesiology & Anatomy.

The 6 month course will includes 4 lecture weekends in winter / spring 2020. 

Aero Joe Pilates will host all weekends, and trainees will learn from one of the STTP founding master instructors live, in-person in each session of training!

The 6 month course includes the following:

Course Description:

The STTP program goes beyond the Classical Pilates repertoire to includes influences from multiple lineages as well as both functional and contemporary exercises. 

Emphasis will be placed upon learning to teach Pilates at a very sophisticated level to individual bodies, and the training imparts functional protocols for many common client pathologies. STTP achieves this level of expertise for their graduates by going beyond the exercise list to include anatomy and kinesiology, client assessment skills and teaching techniques throughout the learning process.

Pre-requisites for completion, small class sizes and one-on-one coaching support the high standard we intend to achieve for all STTP teachers. At the program’s end, graduates proficiently teach well-designed private lessons, mat classes and small group equipment classes.

Successful completion of comprehensive written, teaching and performance exams will be required for graduation. Additionally, students are prepared to take the certification exam given by The Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) should they so choose.

Trainees should anticipate dedicating an average of 12-15 hours a week for 25 weeks in order to complete their certification in 6 months time. Aero Joe Pilates commits to provide free and / or discounted group classes to trainees for the duration of the 6-month program. **Please note the cost above does not include lessons.

Aero Joe will also provided free admission and / or discounted admission to classes and lectures to trainees during the Pure Movement Summit 2020.
