Audrey Douglas

Audrey began her Pilates education in 2012 as an apprentice under fully certified STOTT PILATES® Instructor Sylvia Blackwell at Pilates Place Mississippi, LLC. She began her coursework for STOTT PILATES® at Pilates South Texas (PST) in Houston for Matwork and Reformer in 2013 and finished coursework of Cadillac, Chair and Barrels in 2014 also at PST. In 2015 Audrey received her Comprehensive Essential & Intermediate STOTT PILATES® Certification.

Since 2013 Audrey has worked with numerous clients at Pilates Place Mississippi, Pilates of Jackson, Ballet Magnificat, Ballet Mississippi as well as guest teaching at community events. She is trained to teach all fitness levels. Her clientele has ranged in age from children all the way to elderly as well as those with Parkinson's Disease, Scoliosis, and post-Polio. 

Throughout her career, Audrey has taught dance teachers how to apply the principles of Pilates to their pedagogy as well as the dancers themselves how to apply the principles to the understanding of their body, technique and art form. Audrey believes that Pilates is applicable to all lifestyles, and is passionate about what it can do for our bodies in fitness, maintenance and longevity.
